The SRA is making changes which will take effect for the first time in the January 2027 siting of the SQE1 (including for people doing a resit).
What are the changes?
More time to answer. The number of questions in each of the FLK1 & the FLK2 will be reduced from 180 to 170 (as the FLK1 & the FLK2 is each dived into a morning & an afternoon session that will be a reduction of the questions in each session from 90 to 85 questions). Crucially, the duration of each session is NOT being reduced. So, you will have more time.
Grouping of the questions. The SRA have written: "Questions in all subject areas will no longer be presented in both sessions of an FLK assessment. The questions in each FLK session will contain questions from the subject areas as shown in the table below. Ethics and Professional Conduct will however continue to be tested across all subject areas and can therefore be tested in each session."
